Hi, I’m Rachel

Bloom Harvest Flower Farm grew from a small flower patch in my front yard into a flower-filled space focused on seasonal bouquets, gardening education, and creative studio work. When I’m not out in the garden, I’m usually making soap, working on ceramics, or hanging out with my little family and goofy lab pup.

My Story..

A woman with dark hair holding a black pot filled with pink, white, and yellow flowers in a garden with colorful blooming plants and dark trees in the background.

Our little farm started as a small flower patch that slowly grew year by year into a quarter-acre of chemical-free blooms in my front yard. What began with a simple roadside stand eventually grew into farmers markets, a flower subscription, and after many florist trainings, event florals as well.

After a very busy season last year, we made the intentional decision to scale back and focus on what we love most: two farmers markets and our farm pickup bouquet subscription, the Flower Club. We’ve stepped away from events, roadside stands, and last-minute custom bouquets to create more breathing room during the growing season, along with more space for a few creative projects that carry me through the quieter months.

Winters here in Connecticut are long, so I try to stay busy in my little home studio. This past winter I took a soap-making class and have been making soap ever since. My flower studio now smells… significantly better than it used to.

Then there’s ceramics. I studied art a long time ago and have been making things with my hands ever since. After two winters at the local pottery studio, I finally brought a small kiln and wheel home. I’m working on a flower inspired collection I can’t wait to share with you!

So now I split my time between flowers, clay, and soap.

At the end of the day, this is about creating beautiful things that bring joy to others, and building a sustainable life for me and my family, while showing my kids that you can make a living doing what you love.
